The Vantage took home over 30 awards at this year’s Kansas Collegiate Media Conference, sweeping the news writing and review writing categories and earning a bronze All-Kansas Award. The Vantage took gold in the all Kansas division for investigative reporting.
Staff members took firsts in news writing, headline writing, feature writing, sports writing, sports feature writing and column writing in the four-year private college division.
Editor-In-Chief Courtney Klaus took first place in the on-site copy editing contest against all four-year college students and was second-runner up for the Journalist of the Year Award.
