Though dorm rooms have had cable through Cox for years, Residence Life is on the verge of rolling out a new streaming service that will work to replace cable and add its own features.
The streaming service “Jet TV” is set to be rolled out in the next couple weeks.
“Jet TV is a streaming service that is very similar to Netflix” Director of Residence Life Scott Mudloff said. “Monthly, Residence Life has the ability to choose 20 different movies and 10 shows that appear on the streaming service.”
Residence Life will be able to control whatever videos show up before students can watch. By doing this, it allows Newman to spread PSA’s or entertaining content to every on-campus student as they please.
