The university announced Thursday morning that Joanna Pryor, current associate athletic director and NCAA compliance coordinator, will be Newman’s new athletic director after Vic Trilli retires this summer.
Pryor will officially take over the position on July 1.
Pryor has worked at Newman for over ten years. She was hired at Newman in 2009 as a head volleyball coach, and then went on to serve for eight years as associate athletic director.
She will over see the transition of The Jets from the Heartland Conference to the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association (MIAA) for the upcoming academic year.
In a press release, Pryor said she is excited to help student athletes with the transition and wants to help coaches “go into our new conference with confidence.”
